Insights on buying and selling

From personal experience, I Have been buying and selling dirtbikes on Facebook marketplace for around 6 years now. I've bought and sold over 25 bikes in my lifetime and believe I have a strong expertise in this subject.

Introduction

I have made over 15,000 dollars cash on Facebook marketplace. The second I passed my drivers permit; I was on the road looking for deals on Facebook marketplace. I sit for hours on end looking for dirtbikes, four-wheelers, or pretty much anything with a motor or wheels. I study the market and see how much they are worth, Then, I see how much they are selling for. I’ve been buying and selling on Facebook marketplace for over 6 years, and just since last year I’ve sold over 10 dirtbikes alone, With a $10,000 profit. Buying and selling is easy but takes time to be good at it. It really is much more than just buying and selling. In reality, it is finding the best possible deals, making sure you buy it way below the market value, making sure what you buy works correctly, and most importantly making sure that it looks good. And then selling what you need to sell for a profit but still giving s deal so people are actually interested in buying your product.

Insights on Buying and Selling

First things first when it comes to buying and selling, you have to look for something that you can for sure make a profit on, I buy and sell dirtbikes, so I look at the different years, makes, and models. Then what I do is look all over the area to see what the market value is for the similar bike that I am looking at. And if I think I can make a profit, I message the seller and go take a look at the bike. When I get there, I go over the bike and take a close look to see what I can do or what I have to do to be able to make it profitable. If everything goes to plan, I buy the bike and take it home with me. The first thing I do is order parts and do cosmetics to it if needed. That takes time and can be very difficult. The best way to do it Is making your bike look as stock as possible. Meaning you want it to look as close as possible to when it came off the showroom floor. So, cleaning it right and putting the right parts on it is very important. Once the bike is complete and ready to be listed, the next thing you do it take several pictures. The better the pictures are the better of a chance someone will buy your product. With the dirtbikes. Every detail matters and if someone sees how clean mine is compared to how dirty another bike is on marketplace. They will most likely choose mine instead of others.

What's next?

Next is the description. You want your marketplace listing to look as clean and clear as possible. You want your listing to be very detailed. Make sure you put every detail you know about the bike including, the year, make, model, and other information that you have done to the bike. You must show why yours stand out compared to others because that might be a selling point for some people. And then lastly adding a price to the listing, the best way to do it is making the price higher than what you actually want for your product. This way the buyer can talk you down and get closer to what you really want to sell for it in the first place. This way so you get what you want, and the buyer thinks they are getting a better deal. Then once you sell your bike, you can either pocket your cash or reinvest and do the whole process over again.

Conclusion

A side hustle is a great way to make some extra cash. Whether you want to make some money or are just bored and need something to do. Buying and selling on Facebook marketplace is the best option for either of those scenarios. And once you get the hang of it, it’s easy. The hardest part about it is scrolling through your phone looking at the market, and what you want to buy and sell. And what you want to do with your product to make it profitable. In my case, It’s not that bad at all. I could scroll through my phone for hours looking at marketplace. Whether it’s buying something way underpriced and listing it the same way you bought it for but for much more than what you paid or buying something completely beat up and turning it into a masterpiece and tripling your profit. Marketplace is a great tool and has made me thousands of dollars.
